By using Mad Dogs, your dog will get to know and love your local  franchisee personally - all our franchisees are trained professionals with a passion for dogs, who have committed to walking dogs as a full time profession.

We have been operating since 2006 Operating as a husband and wife team, before growing into what we are today. Our Directors, James and Catherine set up Mad Dogs in North Sydney, we were the first dog walkers to get a web site and branded vans, and offered a fully professional service. As we grew, our first 2 franchises were sold to our dog handlers who had worked for us for several years. From there we expanded to where we are now, walking dogs all around Australia!

We always make sure the dogs in our care are safely walked in small groups of no more than 4 dogs, transported in air conditioned vans (not crammed into the back of cars!). Also, as all area's are operated by a local franchisee, not a random person from a referral website! You will get to know your local franchisee personally. They will send you photos each day via Instagram, so you can see what your pooch has been up to. Each franchisee operates exclusively in your local area, so your pooch will only be walked from dogs that live nearby. This also means we can put your dogs in groups with similar dogs.

Knowing your dog is in the hands of a responsible and experienced professional dog walker provides you with the peace of mind that your pooch is getting all the care and attention they deserve, especially when you're away from home at the office! All our franchisees have their own insurance policies, plus have been trained on how to handle various dog breeds and temperaments - many having worked for other franchisees previously, giving them plenty of hands on experience.

Our walks provide dogs with opportunities to explore their environment, engaging their senses and socialise with other dogs safely. This regular exercise helps release pent-up energy, leading to a calmer and better behaved dogs at home.

All walks are a full hour at the local park or beach!

We are always available if we know by 5pm the day before!

No more than 4 dogs per walker!

Want to break up the day for your dog so they can get out to run, sniff and play whilst you're at work? With the whole experience of collecting your dog and his friends, driving to the park and being delivered safely back home happy and tired, usually lasts up to 2 hours - so it's a great way to split up a long boring day at home alone! The dogs will always be supervised by a professional dog walker and get to spend one hour at the park in groups of up to four dogs. You may have noticed other walkers at the park doing groups of up to 12 dogs at a time - this isn't something you will ever see a Mad Dogs Dog Walker do! So you can have peace of mind that your pooch is getting all the care and attention that they deserve!  With the added benefit that we are always available if we know by 5pm the night before!

Here at Mad Dogs & Englishmen, we understand that all dogs have different needs for their walks. Whether you have a dog that just loves being with all other dogs and chasing the ball, we may put them in a bigger group and let them have a big run together. If your dog is older, sensitive or just a quieter soul, then we tend to put them in a calmer group and take them on a bush walk. In the summer we like to head to the beach if they're water loving dogs so they can have a swim! We don't just go to the park closest to your house, we try and vary their walks as much as possible so that they get the most out of their time with us and their friends.
